GRAND RAPIDS, MI -- On Grand Rapids’ Southeast Side there’s a fenced off field measuring just over 4 acres.

It currently serves as a detention basin for stormwater management, but a partnership between the city and Kent County Drain Commissioner Ken Yonker aims to make it a “much-needed greenspace” in that area, according to the city.
